Buy Directly from the Publisher!

My publisher has just alerted me -- this book is on sale now straight from her site!

I'm so excited! I've waited a very long time to see this book come to life, and now it's happening! Thank you, Janet Durbin, for seeing the worth in this story! :)

To the reading public, are you aware that the online stores like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, etc. take a big percentage of profits right off the top? Before the author -- the one who sat and created, toiled hours over selecting each word to try to the best of her ability to paint a "live" story -- sees one penny due of her royalties, these businesses have already got their money.

However, if purchased directly from the publisher's site, then the author doesn't have to share with the "big boys". That makes a huge difference in the royalty check!

My publisher, Whimsical Publications, is set up to accept all major credit cards and PayPal. This book is in print only, and for those wishing to have their own copy, I encourage you to buy straight from the site.

Thank you, and happy reading!

Latest Reviews for "When the Bough Breaks"

My YA is due to be released this month--October! Yaayy!

I am so in love with this book (well, maybe the hero? hee). I've wondered how reviewers would see this story line, because it is...different. Set in the era of late 1960's, early 1970's, it deals with a teenage girl's struggle of growing up with an absent father and overly strict, but loving, mother. (Mom's rule # 1 -- NO dating until 18!) How does a high school gal deal with that embarrassment? Or the attentions of an older Vietnam Marine hero who makes no bones he's interested in her, though he dates a...um...not "mother approved" girl? Add the frustration of having your crush on your sister's boyfriend not reciprocated, mix in the excitement of going on your very first hayride to Eleven Elms, and the giddiness of meeting the wealthy, prominent Richard Ryan, then the next summer being saved from an almost drowning incident at the lake and, well...Darlene wonders what else is in store for her!

Martha E of "You Gotta Read" gives a wonderful 4.5 review here.

And Holli Winters of Mistress Bella Reviews says some very awesome things about this book here.

Thank you both!
