An Amazing Weekend: My Book Cover and I Won a Contest.

So much of a writer's time is spent alone, staring at the computer and fighting rejection demons, so when weekends like the one I just had come along, we cherish them. And we SHOUT!

On Friday, I received my book cover for my October release of Missing. Seeing it and being able to share it with my friends was like living and seeing a long-worked-for dream coming to a reality.

On Saturday, I attended the League of Utah Writer's Conference and learned that my second, newly written novel, Trapped, won 1st Place in their Full Length Novel contest. Money and recognition--wahoo!

On Sunday, a dear, successful author friend of mine, Josi Kilpack, "shouted" about me and my work on her blog. So sweet, so touching. How is it that the human body is able to contain so much joy and emotion ? I am amazed.
