Joyce DiPastena - Introduction

Do you have any idea how nice it is to NOT be confronted with a "this site contains adult material...are you sure you want to enter?" button when you visit The Sweetest Romance Authors blog? Well, if you don't, just let me tell you...it's nice!!! (Or to put it another way..."sweeeeet". :-) )

That's what this blog and group are all about. Having a "safe" place to go to read about romance and to discover "sweet, safe" romance books to read. As our description in the side bar says, this definitely does NOT mean "boring", though. Our books are full of adventure and mystery, suspense and just good old fashioned storytelling, along with a sweet, safe, satisfying romance. You just can't beat a ride like that!

My specialty is sweet medieval romances, laced with mystery, suspense, conspiracy, treachery, sometimes a little swashbuckling, and hey, even a little history! But always, always at the center of my stories is a man and a woman who are falling in love.

My first medieval romance, Loyalty's Web, was a 2007 Whitney Award Finalist. Midwest Book Reviews called Loyalty's Web "a historical tale of intrigue with multiple twists and turns, arranged marriages and true romance. It is a fast-paced, well-written, fascinating read." Click here to read a synopsis and first chapter. (scroll down the page to find the chapter)

My second medieval romance, Illuminations of the Heart, was released this summer. Laura Fabiani of The Library of Clean Reads writes: "The action begins right from page one and pulls the reader immediately into the story. DiPastena skillfully creates a web of intrigue, romance and revenge as the story unfolds." You can click here to read a synopsis and here to read the first chapter.

Oh, and click here to read about my in-progress book blog tour for Illuminations of the Heart and learn how you can enter to win one of four prizes, including an autographed copy of Illuminations of the Heart!

Does it Get Any Better Than This?

Thanks for the invite my fellow Sweeties. What an exciting endeavor. Where else can you find such a large group of ‘G’ rated romance authors on one site? These ladies and gentleman (can’t forget Larry) really know how to spin thrilling, wholesome reads. Don’t let the sweetness fool you. We are far from boring around here. I myself write romantic suspense. My first novel, Every Skull Tells a Story is available now and Journey to Redemption will be available Sept 15th. To read excepts, book blurbs and sample chapters of these and other upcoming releases be sure and drop by my blogsite. You’ll find the link in the sidebar. Now sit back, relax, have a glass of Miss Mae’s special recipe lemonade, and be ready to be amazed at all the exciting books that are available at the clicks of a few keys.

Ronda Hinrichsen--An Introduction

I'm so excited to be part of this blog. In many ways, stumbling upon The Sweetest Romance Authors was almost like finding a lost treasure. So many times I've grieved at hard it is to find romantic stories (as well as the authors/publishers who produce them) which I wouldn't be embarrassed to share with my parents or my children. Or my conscience. So if you're someone with this same opinion, you've definitely come to the right place. WELCOME!

While I have had dozens of short stories and articles published in religious magazines (mostly LDS), my first romantic suspense novel, MISSING, will be published this fall with Walnut Springs Press. It's about a young woman with a haunted past who sees (then searches for) a missing child from her home town while she's on a Christmas, college choir tour in Victoria, British Columbia.

Well, that's a bit about me and my upcoming book. Happy reading!

Being accepted

Just received the message to accept the invitation to the new blog. Not much to say at this point. I do have a short romance story being considered by Wild Rose but they have not asked for the manuscript yet. I have another short story, longer acutally, which I have hopes for too. I have yet to send it any place but opt for Wild Rose. Larry
